The Parent Side

A picture for your baby, and the words are there for you.

Each card folds over, so the picture faces your baby while the notes face you. You never have to turn the card around to remember what to say.

“That’s an apple with a leaf on top.”

Use the words on the card or say it your own way. There is nothing for your baby to answer.

Printing

Four steps at your own printer.

A printer, paper and optional glue are not included.

  1. 01

    Print pages 2 to 17

In color, one-sided, at actual size (100%), on US Letter white paper or a matte cardstock your printer accepts.

  2. 02

    Print one test sheet first

Check the size and color before printing the rest of the set.

  3. 03

    Fold along the center line

Fold with the printed sides facing outward, and the fold along the top.

  4. 04

Glue the blank sides, if you like

An adult can glue the two blank halves together and let them dry fully before use.

Using the cards safely

  • An adult holds the cards. They are not toys for a baby to hold.
  • Keep cards out of mouths, cribs and bassinets, and put them away before sleep.
  • Put a card down when your baby turns away or seems finished.
  • The pictures are not feeding suggestions.

Questions

Before you print.

No. It is a PDF you print and fold at home. Nothing is shipped to you.

Together

Make room for a moment together.

Hold a picture where your baby can see it and talk in your own way. You can describe the picture or tell your baby about your day.

Let your baby set the pace. Put the card down when your baby turns away or seems finished; there is nothing they need to answer.

Why shared moments matter
